4th Global Green Destinations Days GGDD19

This yearly event brings together leading sustainability experts in government, business, and academia in a set of workshops, peer-to-peer learning, field trips, in-depth sessions, and panel discussions.
This year, the main theme is “Green Solutions for Destinations”. Destinations and businesses were invited to propose their good practices stories on the following themes:
- Spreading tourism over space and time
- managing hotspots
- developing new ‘green destinations’
- Tourism to support local communities, culture & tradition
- Tourism to support nature and biodiversity
- Marketing a sustainable destination
- Facing the carbon & climate challenge in tourism, incl. soft mobility
- Water & waste management and how to reduce the use of plastics
